Professional Massage Therapy in a Professional Environment.
Exclusively for Injured Workers
The Massage Therapy program at Olympic Sports & Spine is exclusively dedicated to the care of injured workers. Those with State L&I, self-insured workers compensation, or OWCP are all welcomed. Massage Therapy is an effective component of therapeutic care, especially during the early phases of rehabilitation, enabling injured workers to address the recovery of function and return to work more quickly.
The First Massage Visit & Beyond
The first visit will include an evaluation. This consists of the completion of a health history questionnaire, palpation, a range of motion examination, and an interview. Treatment goals are determined at this time. A summary of the initial evaluation is sent to the referring provider.
Privacy is always respected and modestly preserved. Patients may wear a gown, undergarments or comfortable clothing that reveals only the area(s) needing treatment. Patients are draped appropriately in private rooms.
Referring providers may request work on a particular area and/or the use of specific techniques. Referring providers and patients should feel free to discuss the treatment plan with the therapist at any time.
Status updates are forwarded regularly to the referring provider to ensure all parties remain informed regarding each patient's progress.
